An update to the in-class practice debate schedule – the debate set for this week already for Thursday and Friday will take place. The one that had been set for Tuesday and Wednesday has been put off until next week.

Here are the upcoming in-class novice practice debates, continuing next week:
On October 25-26, Taylor and Marquel will be Affirmative against Rachana and Michael as Negative. Chelsea and Anushka are the varsity mentors.
On October 28-29, Nyjiah and CJ will be Affirmative against Matt and Amritha as Negative. Vignesh and Reuben will be the varsity mentors.
Remember to bring your evidence, and timers!

Varsity debaters remember: your assigned files are due tonight at midnight and not Monday night.
These are being graded for the class. Make sure indexes/table of contents and other formatting is correct.

If you have not gone to a tournament already, you must to fulfill the requirement of the debate class (to novices).
Remaining chances include the Grady tournament and the Carrollton tournament.
Fees for each are required to attend. The ‘cheaper’ ones have passed.

There will be an in-class practice debate on Monday and Tuesday next week. Suraj and Naveena will be Affirmative against Mili and Saachi. Both sides will have a varsity mentor to help during the round. All Novices will have to flow the round. All Varsity not mentoring will have to fill out a ballot.
These practices will continue every Monday and Tuesday in-class for the next several weeks.

The parents meeting for all policy debate parents will be held tomorrow (Thursday), at 7PM, in room 3212. This meeting is only for parents and will be led by Mr.Smiley.
